What type of Gull is this?

Gull at the Salton Sea.

After a short trip to the Salton Sea in late May, I came home with several photos of birds.  The pelicans were easy to ID, but this Gull eludes me.  I know it is a Gull, but what type?  There seem to be so many varieties.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
