The Friends of Roper Lake State Park are proud to kick off of a series of events to be held at Roper Lake State Park. The first event will be June 25th in the evening with a “Look to the Skies’ program, given by John Ratje, the site manager of Mount Graham International Observatory. Program is geared towards children in grades 5 through High School, but is open to anyone who is interested in knowing what is out there.

Presentation will be held at Roper Lake’s amphitheatre area. After dark, a PowerPoint will be projected on the side of the building. The PowerPoint on June 25th will include a virtual tour of Mt. Graham with emphasis on the Large Binocular Telescope. The Gila section/group campground section will be used for the viewing.
