Re: Enviros split on Interior solar plan

anyone know why we use virgin desert when we have 100s of square miles of roof tops thru-out the west?

Heck if the build solar panels over homes in LV or SB wouldn't we shade the houses to lower Air Conditioning load in those places?

Re: Eagle Mountain hydropower proposal

Thanks Jim for the post.

I don't see that as a workable concept/plan, but I do like their forward thinking for a big hole in the ground. Maybe if something other than ground water in that area was the source for the project.

Re: Salvation Mountain - Leonard Knight has died

Thanks for posting that Jim. You are right “he will be missed” His little spot in the desert will never be the same. My wife and I always enjoyed our little visits with him. I have no idea how many words I heard him speak, but on many occasions we would talk or listen to stories from him for up to a...

I do like to hear your retired, but I don’t want to hear anymore success stories. Ha Ha Like you two, ...

Re: Anza-Borrego Desert is turning green

We where down there a few weeks back for a night of camping, and the green was a nice surprise. Some areas had a wonderful carpeting of little yellow flowers.

Re: New rules for meteorite hunters unveiled

Thanks for posting that. 8-)

I’m not in a habit of collecting stuff in the wild, but I have had people ask me if it was OK to collect meteors, now I can honestly tell them “it depends” :)

Re: Skin Dive the Santa Rosas

I’d like to hear more about this, since I didn’t know a person went skin diving at the Santa Rosa Mtns in So Cal. Are these the SR Mtns near Borrego Springs?

I know I’m NOT a serious diver, but sometimes I just need to reply, hopefully I will still receive a reply.
