Good one SH, Looked to me like he was flagging in a plane to land on a carrier, or pointing over to "Treasure Hill", i'd guess the later. Still over in the land of smiles, will check it out in September.

Anyone see this one on way to Second Water from First? Any ideas what the artist had in mind? Doesn't look very old or maybe recent chalking? alan S

Darn, i'm still a newbie, cant view any files . . . if i admitted to what i found and what i did with it, not proud of that, was mistake and not of monetary value . . . now i feel better . . .

George, sounds like the Obie Stoker, Question Mark Mine you found there. Mine on the west face of Geronimo Head, interesting, would like to know about that one too. I just found this book, "Black Range Tales", by James A. McKenna, was first published in 1936 as a Rio Grande Classic. Mine is a 1965 reprint. Almost finished reading it, one chapter is about the "Lost Canyon Diggings" and it sounds like the Lost Adam's, zigzag trail and all... m...
