............. one more thing .............
You say I'm holding the fake H/P Stone. Are you saying that the Stone Maps in the Museum are not the real ones? Can you prove it?

Re: Are the stone Maps Authentic or are they a Hoax?
Mike The thing with your hole line of thinking is why would Travis haul the stones all the way from oregon to az just to give them a car wash. Not to sell them, Not to profit from them, Not to suck in investors, Just drive thier and then head back home. Makes no CENTS. Travis was a good man, though...

Re: Are the stone Maps Authentic or are they a Hoax?
Joe, You answered my question about Walter Perrine on another thread. HAHAHAHA It's hell getting old! I actually hadn't heard the story about the torches on the Needle. One more thing to add to the plus side of the Weaver's Needle Treasure Saga! Homar, Them being floor stones was Azmula's thought. I...

Re: Are the stone Maps Authentic or are they a Hoax?
Joe, I thought Charlie Miller and one other person (who I can't remember right now) who knew Travis T. pretty well, said that he came to the Supers regularly to try and solve the stone maps? I was under the impression that the Harry LaFrance (France) Cave of Gold Bars was just on the North side of W...

Re: Are the stone Maps Authentic or are they a Hoax?
Coazon, First, according to the story "as told by Travis T", he tripped over a stone sticking up from the ground. When he looked at it, he noticed it was oddly shaped. When he pulled it out of the ground and brushed it off, he noticed the word "DON" carved into it. He did not fin...

Re: THE PASSING OF AN OLD DUTCH HUNTER
Hey Joe, Sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. One more of the very few first hand treasure story witnesses is gone. I believe that he is the last of that "Cave of Gold Bars Crew?" Well, like all the rest of those that have passed on, I am sure they know all the "where's" "when'...

Re: Native American history within the Superstitions discuss
Joe and Injunbro, You were both correct about Celeste Jones. Thanks again to Joe for introducing me to the person that knew her as well as anyone still living. Joe's friend/source is one of those few that I consider to be beyond reproach. Ed Piper got into a Western Style gunfight with Robert Ste. M...

Re: Lost Virgin de Guadalupe mine
Joe, The "Virgen de Guadalupe Mine" is associated with the San Cayetano de Tumacacori Mission, and is approximated to be somewhere in Peck/Javelina Canyon on the South side of Tumacacori Mountain (South of Tucson, Az). It is supposed to be the final resting place for a large portion of the...
