Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my dog is the same way with thunder
and we live close enough to the military training area where they
shoot off fake bombs but they sound real and she goes nuts when
they do training.

1:00 pm and the temp is 112 and rising.

I went to the website and read about Mr.Cronkrite and yes he may have been a "LIBRIAL BUM" as you say but he was still a very wonderful journlist and thats what this thread is about.A tribute to an american icon. Lets keep it a tribute ok.Kathy

Yes Dan,Dan Rather is very much a great journlist.As was Peter Jennings and lets not leave out the lady of journlists Barbara Walters but Mr.Cronkrite was the Father of journlistism.He set an example for those who followed in his foot steps.All the younger journlist had a great respect for Mr.Cronki...

No they don't make em any better than Mr.Cronkrite.He was one
terrific newsperson but he was human first.Never took credit for
anything he did and todays newspeople are in competion for ever
award they can get.Part of our family is gone as he was in our homes everyday.Rest in peace Mr.Cronkrite. :(
