Re: Hiker's Hell
It addition to what Tom K said about solo hikers, I would add to that, the "runners". Every year we have seen solo runners in the Supes - I suspect most are fairly local people, but they do not always "prepare" for an accident or an emergency situation. If you are a runner, and y...

Re: 3 hikers from Utah now missing in the Supers?
Crap, I hate hearing stuff like that, but, the truth of the matter is, many, many people think they are bullet-proof. They probably figured they'd been there before, and wouldn't make the same mistakes, they didn't need a lot of water, because they were planning on coming back every night - a recipe...

Ok, I will shoot him off an email right now.

Re: 3 hikers from Utah now missing in the Supers?
Do you have all the info you think you need about that area of the "google map" guy? If not, I know him, and I'm sure I could get a slightly more detailed map. (though I think he has the coordinates online). There was supposed to be a ta-do last week at that area near Bluff Springs. (I'm n...

Re: metal detecting
At that time of year, GPAA usually has some outings going on. Like Jim said, check them out - if you go to an outing of theirs, they even will supply some stuff for you (like rocker boxes, drywashers, etc., depending on what and where it is - they don't supply metal detectors, though). It might be a...

http://tucsoncitizen.com/paranormal/2010/07/14/search-continues-for-three-treasure-hunters-lost-in-the-supersition-mountains/ This is as of a few hours ago, still true. Made a quick check and the search was still on at that time. I'm wondering - Jim - and whomever was there today - was there any inf...

Mike,
I agree - a good looking into is in order.
Tom,
