Minor point, but the smell of the crosses was not unpleasant like rotted leather,
just dusty smelling.

BTW, Corky is a nick I assumed recently, so Bilbrey wouldn't recall that.
Anyone know where he is now ? Not that I really care.

I wish I could speak to the geography in the Superstitions better, but I just left it to Bilbrey.
I do know that the final helicopter trip was not within site of either Weaver's Needle or Tortilla Mountain. The latter Bilbrey told me later he blew up much of on one side.
I do recall reading one of the books where some well known guy had dynamited an area, and it said he later realized he'd covered the area where it was, dying shortly afterwards.

It was Jim Humble who had the spiritual contact with the indian spirit, who pointed out the direction of the treasure. This was before I got involved.
I have little direct ability like that.
Jim has gone on to more important things: his discovery of MMS, "Miracle
Mineral Supplement" which initially cured Malaria in an emergency situation, and now virtually whatever might be the problem. Amazing, but if one looks online, he will see the stories, which I take as proof.

At a guess, I'd say the treasure has probably been found by now, but I'm sure Bilbrey will look to his dying day.

I have found lost dogs and cats with spiritual knowing of direction, but am
not confident about doing so with the Lost Dutchman Treasure.
I read that 8000 people look for it annually.
It would seem to be a dangerous activity.

So out of 8000 people looking for the mine, how many do you think that ghost is blabbing about it to? If you ask me we need to go out there and lay some ghost whoopass on that fool.

Hooch:

Seems like out of the 8,000, about 7,999 have already claimed to have found it this year so far.
But there's a couple of weeks left for #8,000...if he gets goin.

For those who contend that the stone maps are fake due to the misspelled spanish. It was commen for Jesuit Priests to encypt things. What I am about to disclose will not help you find the trails end but will help you understand the mindset of the creator. The following is a correction of the maps misspelled words. BEREDA needs a V, PELIGROZA needs an S, BOY needs a V, COAZON needs an R, COBOLLO needs 2 A's That gives you the following letters VSVRAA, well V's are U's in Latin, so it is USURAA. If you put this in a Latin anagram solver, it only spells one thing "SU AURA" Meaning "His Glory" or "His Radiance" Which puts a heavy Religous tone on them.
