Tahquitz Rock is an 800' high rock in Southern California.

Pete Carlson (author of the rescue article) is an old climbing buddy of my from 1970.

I was the lead climber for Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit for 20 years and past president.

I had heard about that happening to Les Walker. Not good. Hope he's up and around soon.
