That's good!
The board going thru a dry spell
and with summer breaking people
will get out hiking and posting again
Or we'll all end up at rock bottom!
I can only encourage to look for gold rocks
or any other types that worth cutting and polishing.
I don't have much money but You can throw them at me
So this summer I hounded and polish these beauts in Phoenix
I'm looking forward to another season of doing lapidary work outside,
rock hounding, plus all the rock & mineral shows that will start up
for the fall/winter season in the southwest
support your local rock hound
and best to everyone
get out and enjoy!

Nice stuff. I thought about getting into lapidary as something to do in the wintertime.

I definetly encourage ya
so many different aspect to the rock hobby
one of simplest and inexpensive ways
to get started is to buy a tile saw.
A 7" Workforce usually under 90.00
can be had at pawn shops for 60.00
a person can get real good at slabbing a good size rock with one
anyway just go out a collect some intersting looking rocks
and cut them in 1/2
its the inside that make the rock unbelieveable
its amazing how well the saw blade polishes the face cut
a little of that and ya can get hooked pretty quick
I hound in Phoenix in the landscaping river rocks
found marbles, calcites, chalcendony, schist ect..
the ones above were from landscaping river rock
and of course there always tumbling...

I can only daydream about getting stoned. They do fairly regular random urine testing where I work.

Hey, that sounds like stuff I can actually work with. I don't have much room around here, but that would not take much.

Re: Summer Almost Gone!
yep the Workforce 7” saw doesn’t take much room
and it’s a must have machine for lapidary work.
I leave mine outside, covered with a plastic tub.
The weather not going to damage it any
and its ready to cut, anytime.
Lapidary machines don’t take much room.
But all the rocks a person collects sure can!!
