Sand spikes, concretions, carvings, oh my! All I want to do now is get new tires and spend the next month roaming the canyons on wheel and foot while the weather is good.
Thanks guys!

From what I read, one of the best places to find sand spikes is Signal Mt near the Mexican border. But if you are looking to see where to find some and how much they are worth then check out this link:

Thanks H- I've no interest in selling really- and if anything I try not to take anything with me in general. I just love it out there and I discover something new every time. I'm always bummed when people go off trail or kill a snake in the road, etc. Unavoidable I know but the deserts take sooo long to recover. If i could i would ban balloon releases- those damn things end up in the most remote places!

Space turds- cool!
;)
Will check that out. I still have the one I above- but have since lost the girl who found it- :(
I want to take it to my next dentist appointment and have them use the digital x-ray machine on it. We shall see- will def post results here!

PS- Got new tires on my truck- Yokohama Geolander A/T-S (265/75/16) and I love them- cheap, quiet, warranty, etc. $131ea from tirerack.com
Had an =excellent= trip to area around Harper and Cuddeback dry lakes and northwest of Rainbow Basin area. Tons of flowers, open space, no power lines- but the sonic booms that started on Tuesday were less than welcome. I used this book as a guide:
