Hey everyone,

I am having a rock sale at my place in San Juan Capistrano the weekend of Sep. 15-16 from 9-4. If you're down this way please stop by and take some rocks off my hands! I have some pics up here - http://www.rocksale.net/ - and I'll include some below so you can see some of the material that will be available.

I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting this here. Selling rocks is not my profession and this will be my first rock sale. (If it goes well it will be my last.) The collection used to belong to a good friend of mine and I have been holding onto it for 7 or 8 years now. It's time to set it free!

I'm kind of hoping one person doesn't come and buy it all because I'd like to see it enjoyed by more people. We'll see!

The site is just to show people the sort of material available. And I had fun making the site and taking photos this past weekend. I by no means scratched the surface with the photos on the site. I'm too lazy to sell online and handle all the shipping. Not that sorting, cleaning, pricing, setting up, and tearing down won't take some work, but it's more to my liking.

Can you believe I forgot all about posting the rock sale on Craigslist?! What a dope. Thanks for mentioning that so I didn't miss out on the opportunity for all the rich rockhounders cruising Craigslist. I've never actually bought anything on there so it doesn't often come to mind.

Ed, if you e-mail me (dzrtgrls at cox dot net) your address I'll send you some pieces you can use for your rock'n hearts. Unless of course you're drowning in material, in which case I'll hold off.

The rock sale was great and I had a ton of fun. I met some wonderful people, learned a lot, and made enough to cover my expenses and then some.
