whittling is a good description
I got 3 hours in the grinding and forming of it
ever consider doing lapidary?
how about tumbling?
I just started that
it takes a lot of attention --at first
otherwise it pretty non-time consuming
and is fairly inexpensive
tumbling rocks are free
lots of them lying about
anyway,
Thanks Man!

Ed,
I have considered getting my grandchild a rock tumbler whenever she gets old enough to take care of it. I don't want to be stepping in sand inside the house.
The only rock whittling I would get into would be knapping, but that's only is I can fit it in between my nappings.
