Hi Guys !

I had an interesting conversation with the local barber.

He was telling me that 20 years ago the Parade magazine
(that was a supplement of the Arizona Republic newspaper)
ran a story about an ASU student who was growing
marijuana in the Superstition Mountains.

He said it was quite a lengthy article with photos.
The location was well hidden. The student had to squeeze thru a crack/crevice
in the mountains to get to the location. But it opened up to a hidden valley!
That’s where the grass was being cultivated!
It must have been some super weed! :)

Anyone hear of this?
Know of the article?

Hi Roc - I hadn't heard that story, but I remember the "Parade" supplement being in our Sunday paper every week. I'd love to see that story sometime.

Hey Roc....The place you are talking about is there......you can find a bit of the info on the old LDF.....I have droped in one time to that small valley it's only about 30'X60' there is a spring there in the wet seasons, but i have never seen it run unless you dig down a few feet....I have some photos of the place if you e-mail me I will send them to you..

There was a spot on Bluff Springs Mountan where this happened 20-25 years ago.
