An Important Desert Survival Tip

Post by TradClimber »

Get a small cooler – you know the one that will just hold a six pack. Go to your local ice company and have them cut a piece of dry ice that will just fit inside. Now all you need is your favorite brew in cans. Two cases is recommended.

Hike to any remote area in the desert in midsummer. Before you start to feel thirsty, place one can on the dry ice and spin. I’m talking about the can here. Use caution, in just two minutes the contents will freeze solid.

The dry ice will last up to two day and can process about 48 16oz. cans.

Be sure to pack out your trash and leave only footprints.

Enjoy!

And remember thats 2 cases per day. Anything over a day make sure to rent a mule from tradclimbers used mule sales and rentals for packing in enough cerveza!! I won't rent a mule from anyone else!

P.S. I highly recommend renting 2 mules so you can pack in chips and salsa.

Excellent tip Guz that I forgot to mention. After all, you don’t want to hike like this all day.

LBA can also cut a deal on the mules if you include their guiding service.
