I bought a big bag of dry dog food three or four weeks ago. Then I forgot and left it in my car.

Do you other Desert People have any experience with this?

Is the food still okay after getting so hot for so long? Is there a baterial growth danger? :?

 I did not know which topic to put this in as this is my very first posting.

I don't want to poison my dogs = HELP ME, PLEASE?!?

Welcome to DUSA www. I don't live in the desert, but it gets hot in the summer where I do live. I keep my dry dog food in a garden shed which can get very hot and I've never had any problem. You could call the 800 number on the bag, or simply open it up and see if it smells normally like dog food as usual. It should be ok but do smell for anything "rancid", then it's up to you. :?:
good luck, Mike C. Brea, CA.

THANK YOU, MIKE!

This was for a desperate woman who rescues dogs in the high desert area at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains.

She said she believes it will be okay also, so I delivered it to her yesterday.

I did tell her to be sure to check it out thoroughly for smell, odd color, mold, etcetera.

She assured me that she will do that before serving.

I appreciate your input!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
