Wanted:

Hiking/climbing partner for remote area of the Santa Rosa Mountains in southern California. Must not be afraid of heights. Enjoyment of exploring, photography and 110+ temperatures are a requirement. I’m willing to teach any survival skills that might be needed. 2-4 days trips. Only serious persons need to reply.

I’m under extreme pressure from family members and friends to not go solo in remote areas anymore and to act my age.

Yeah, I really hate having to act my age.
Maybe you could hire one of those tan Palm Springs sherpas, aka a caddy, to haul your pack up the hill and keep you company. :)

All good things must come to an en

I voluntarily hobbled myself back in 2000 after I discovered that my foot could become useless when I need it the most. I was less than a mile from my truck (uphill), but since I had to crawl there, the trip back took a lot longer than I had anticipated, and the water ran out quick. Damned near died that day in August....Now I keep um short....Hint, hint.

For Guz, who need not apply. I will not get a rocking chair and watch TV all day!

How rude. I rented a tux to match your black evening formal gown you like to wear at remote locations just so you'd feel comfortable and this is what I get????

Trad,
Maybe you should get into macro-photography?
There's a whole world to explore in real teensy weensy stuff...
Check out a lint ball sometime...
And it's safe! You don't have to go too far.

Great Guz! I knew you'd take my bait. When do you want to go?

Rep, I'll think about that one later. Right now I got a fish on the line.

Any particular reason why you want to do it in the middle of the hot weather?
