Re: Hail from Northern Michigan
Welcome M Kemp. I was born in a little town up there near Iron Mountain awhile back. Moved to SW Michigan near the Indiana border when I was still a tot and now live in NH. Gettin' to that age where I'm hating winter more and more every year - it's an exponential hate too!!!
Hope you get a chance to visit the Superstitions if you haven't already - it's a real experience!!

I am going for a visit in Feb. Been there a few times already but never enough time. I have been to the Iron Mt. area many times backpacking and hunting. I am 48 and already starting to hate the cold and long winters. Last summer it never got too warm here. Jet skiing on Lake Huron is second to none tho. Almost moved to page, AZ. a few years back, they have a large body of water. Get rid of that foul weather before I get there Jim. Thank you for the welcome. Can't wait to get out of here, it's 23 out this morning.

Marc,
I hear everything you are saying! Been there and done that! I spent a couple winters in East Jordan, Mich, and one in Marquette. I know first hand why they put those parking meters up against the buildings on the sidewalk, instead of out on the curb.
I was a neon sign repairman back then, and worked outside year round. I know what it is like to have my Carharts freeze solid with me inside them, while dangling from a crane, 50 feet in the air replacing a piece of neon on a sign.
Arizona IS the place to be Buddy! Want to ride your Skido? Canyon Lake, Bartlett Lake, Apache Lake. All just a short drive from Apache Junction.
It don't get no better!
Jim

Ah,to be in Arizona in February!
Snowmobiling in the morning on two inches of fresh powder
Followed by a blast around the lake on the PWC in the afternoon.
Always wanted to be able to do that.
The closest I ever got was to shoot some open water.
Regards:SH.
