Yeah, I bet it is boring! all I ever see is strangers with odd names responding lamely to an existing post just so their attached link will be seen.

Yes, I usually delete their post entirely because nothing they have to say adds to the conversation anyway. Say, Rep, have you heard from Yuccahead or Jim Hatt lately? I hope they are allright!

I know what you mean Rep. I've noticed things seem to slow down on this forum during the hot weather season. Not too many people trek out there now. We are all doing other things; for instance my wife & I just got back from Idyllwild area (San Jacinto Mountains Ca) totally refreshed! Tradclimber probably knows about where we where as we were not far from the Santa Rosa's which is on my list. You do a good job of moderating Rep----it's just a matter of slower times; at least for now---but the desert lives on and so do we. So with that, I'm sure we will all be back! Mike C. Brea, Ca

Rep - I've been out in the field playing.

Yep – your right, Mike! I've stood on Mt. San Jacinto peak at least 200 time - more than 40 of those times was on skis. I know the San Jacinto Mountains well.

I've just got back yesterday from an 8 day solo rafting trip down the Mighty Santa Rosa River. I'll do a trip report with lots of photos in the next day or two.

Hi Rep. I'm still doing my thing trying to raise awareness of noxious impacts to the desert and how to deal with them. Environmental board died from people complaining about the repeated discussions all on the same topic...discussions stopped and board has died..go figure!

weather nice and dry here in the Mojave--swamp cooler weather!
