Waltz told a story that he entered his mine from the top, He had to enlarge the opening so he could fit more easy threw and clime down. There was a spanish
tunnel below his mine not done trying to link to his mine.

Your hypothesis would indicate that you believe that the Heart Stone is a depiction of the LDM ?

Thats why thiers two ways to the mine. The heart stone shows the location of the mine but then shows you must go to the top.

Re: Who altered the Stone maps?
So maybe Waltz made the stones.
He did, after all travel back and forth from his mine to Florence.
He may even have camped where the stones were found.
Worth thinking about,I guess.

Re: Who altered the Stone maps?
Talking about just one mine got him followed.
He mighta reasoned that talking about lots of mines would have gotten him killed.
There is no "mina" shown on on any of the stones,Latin Heart and Stone Crosses included.
Why do you think they have anything to do with "mines" in the first place?
Regards:Somehiker.

Re: Who altered the Stone maps?
Because men of god would not be known to quest for gold

Re: Who altered the Stone maps?
To quest for gold does not necessarily involve mining.
Nor does every map made by men of god.
I have no doubt the stones lead to something valuable, possibly very valuable.
But its not a gold mine and may not even be only of gold.

I think the stones lead to a very rich gold mine and church vestments placed about in the mine's then sealed.
