Death Valley vs Arizona wildflowers?

Post by oncewaspfd »

I've had a trip planned for March 6-20 for Death Valley, but after reading the recent AZ wildflower reports I was wondering which one I should do? The last time I was in AZ was with the family, including the in-laws. I wasn't able to get any decent shooting time in and have always wanted to go back.

What's everyones take on the timing for March 6-20? Will there still be enough to shoot over a 2 week period? If I go to AZ vs DV I would split my time between the Phoenix area and Tucson area. Maybe hit the south rim of the Grand Canyon since I'm flying into Las Vegas.

Please chime in with your opinions.

Thanks,

George from Michigan

In Death valley you can use the elevation changes to your advantage.flowers bloom at a slightly later date at the higher, colder elevations

Arizona is in bloom - Death Valley had no rain and that equal no wildflowers
