There's a new hotel in Monument Valley called The View. I don't like to get up early, but I had to get this picture of the sun rising. It was taken from the balcony of my room. We also have a video about the park and hotel on the site.

I've got a similar photo taken from a tent, in the campground, that used to be where the hotel is today. Unfortunately it's on one of my dead and crashed computers.
Great to see a Photo Forum, that Colorado R. Forum was always kind of a waste of space IMO.

Next time camp at Valley of the Gods... even more beautiful! Do it before itchanges, they are talking campsites as too many are making new trails and leaving too much waste behind...
You can also see MV from up Mokey Dugway to Muley Point... the top of the World for me!!!
I'll post some pictures... Have to find them.
