Prayers needed for Sandman

I am saddened to inform you that a terrible car accident has left Sandman in critical condition. The accident occurred last Sunday, Father's Day, and he has been in an induced coma since. He is doing well under the circumstances and has had several operations, with more to follow.

My prayers also go out to Sandman and his family for a full recovery. He and I have had our differences here on the message board for several years. But that's secondary to the fact that we're all humans and are fragile and need compassion from everyone, including those with whom we sometimes have disagreement.

I only know Sandman on the Internet, but I consider him to be a good friend. He and I have had a number of conversations through email, and he has always been very helpful and informative. Sandman is one of the few off-roaders who enjoys the desert as I do - from a peaceful exploratory standpoint. I hope he gets better soon so he can get back out on the trail!
