As I posted in another thread, it was 114 degrees about two hours ago on our shaded front porch. I just checked and it's now 117 degrees and rising. I'll post the highest temp at the end of the day.

Right now I'm at my home in Overton Nevada, but most of the time I'm up north in Eureka Nevada where I live and work, (the economy made me do it). I was born and raised in Long Beach.

102 in Oak Hills, CA (Hesperia). Humidity seems a bit high though since the Swamp Cooler is barely keeping the house at 76 degrees. Can't wait to get back to my house in Mammoth Lakes, CA. It's about 73 degrees there right now but then again, the elevation there is about 8,000 feet.

I just came down a few days ago to help my son and his fiancee close Escrow on their first home purchase. They needed some help with the financing and my wife and I wanted to make sure they got off to a good start and weren't going to sign something they shouldn't. Can't wait to head back up there. It's nice not needing an air conditioner installed on the house. :D We actually need to run the heat in the mornings.
