Topped out at 116 yesterday. It is now 4:00am and raining. It woke me up. Not raining hard but a steady drizzle. This better quit soon. I have a tee time at 7:30. It has been so hot you don't want to play golf and the rain better not mess my day up. This has been one strange year for weather.

It's 1:15 on Sunday and the temperature here in Overton is 115 degrees. It's early so I'm sure that it will go up some more. Last night we had a hellacious wind storm. There was some lightening but no rain to speak of.
Today and yesterday there was/is and awful obscuring haze in the sky. You can hardly see the mountains around us. Is there a big fire burning somewhere in California? Everytime there's a fire there we get this thick haze.

1:32 pm 115 and rising in P.V. Haven't heard about any fires here
in Ca. but did hear Nevada is having wildfires.

Hi PITD,
Just read in the news that Canada is having wildfires and with the
wind blowing our way it is possible some of the smoke is coming with
the wind.Don't know for sure just an idea.Kathy

Hi Jim,
Yes he did warn us and yes it will only get worse.We were very
fortunate to have such cool temps in June and part of July.Instead
of counting my blessings guess I am complaining to much.When I
started this thread I thought it would be neat to see all the differant
temps that we each live in.And all those lucky dogs that cam brag about 70's to 90's for now wants us to be envious of them.
