Lino Tagliapietra in Retrospect: A Modern Renaissance in Italian Glass
Palm Springs Museum of Art, 101 Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262 / This exhibition, a comprehensive forty-year retrospective of Tagliapietra’s art and career, documents and celebrates his remarkable achievements as a contemporary artist. The exhibition includes 169 art works that range from a room-size installation of his impressive Endeavor boat series, to groupings of masterful goblets, to elegant and evocative sculptural forms. Tagliapietra is widely revered as the master of glassblowing, an inspiring teacher and the elder statesman who is credited with shaping the course of international Studio Glass. Art Walk at The Backstreet Art District Wednesday November 4
The Backstreet Art District is held from 6 pm to 9 pm the first Wednesday of each month on Cherokee Way (behind the Mercedes dealership on East Palm Canyon Drive). In addition to downtown/uptown Palm Canyon Drive, this area has been recognized as the coolest hippest art district in the desert. Experience this exciting contemporary art destination. El Paseo Art Walk – Oct. – May

Rancho Mirage Art Affaire

First Fridays Art WalkFriday November 6
The Palm Springs Downtown / Uptown First Fridays will be having their Art Walk from 6 pm – 9 pm! Come on downtown / uptown and browse cool galleries and upscale shopping. Palm Springs Exotic Car Auction
Our next event is November 20th, 21st & 22nd 2009 once again at the Spa Resort Casino here in downtown Palm Springs, California. Friday is check in day and the auction starts at 4pm with 80 vehicles crossing the block. Friday is also FREE ADMISSION and free food for all registered bidders. Saturday and Sunday the gates open at 8am with the first car crossing the block at 10am. We will have 225 cars cross the block on Saturday and another 175 on Sunday. General admission is $10 per day or $15 for both days. We will have over 500 cars crossing the auction block over the 3 days so there will be something for everyone. For sellers entry fees are $300 for Friday night, Saturday or Sunday or $400 for a prime time Lot #. Prime time lots are reserved for higher end vehicles only. Reserves are welcome and we still only take a 5% commission…the lowest in the business. Book your spot now for best placement. Certified Farmers’ Markets
Every Saturday morning from 8 am to 12:30 pm. at 2300 E Baristo at Farrell – North Side of the Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs, the Certified Farmers Market will bring local farmers and vendors together to showcase the fruits of their labor. The CFM is a gathering place where the community can learn about the importance of nutrition, fresh produce and organic options. The market features farm and food only vendors.organic and transitional produce, herbs, lavender,cheese, bread , honey, nuts, eggs, olives and olive oil,fresh cut flowers, orchids and plants and much more. A Market Chef booth features recipes, culinary delights, educational materials. and guest chefs from around the Coachella Valley. We will also have “Music at the Market” from 9 am to 12.
