Re: Emil and Julia Thomas Bakery

Greg,

How are you?

I didn't realize I had written 1921 (my typing is getting worse) It was from a newspaper ad from 1901, not 1921.

I tried to post the newspaper, but, in order to get it on the forum, it was so small, you couldn't read it.

Hold your thoughts on the meteorite, though - because I have a few, and I am trying to decide what I want to do with them ...

Re: Collecting Arizona/Book

Ed,

Could you make a heart out of a meteorite? (hardness being the major question)

Ozarker,

I followed all directions - I just cannot see them for myself - I can see them in the "preview" mode, but not after I post it.

Can you all see the pics I've posted?

Re: Emil and Julia Thomas Bakery

Hi Ed, Good to "see" you. Haven't had much time to do anything with stones or rocks - though, I am in the process of setting up a new "rock and photo" room. (a very slow process, I might add) Have to fit it into all the other things happening around here. (I seem to have a ...

Re: Emil and Julia Thomas Bakery

http://www.desertusa.com/mb3-photos2/Juliasept1892.jpg Now, you have me a little confused again - apparently, you don't think the Sanborn map is valid, it is the one from Helen's book that you asked me about, is it not? Either way, Thomas' Ice Cream stayed that name until at least 1921, as advertis...

Re: Emil and Julia Thomas Bakery

It appears that the Sanborn map is incorrect, since subsequent ads in the paper clearly show what is at that address in June, 1901, as in later ads.
