I recall the hiker that had to cut his own arm off to survive. He was an experienced wilderness hiker. City people have no idea. They think you can just buy a rock hammer and head out.

Jeffrey City was built in support of the mine there. North of there, on the highway, was Peterson's Home on the Range, a gas station run by Sam and Beulah Peterson.
