Hello Silent Hunter. I posted my email address on the other thread awhile back but haven't heard from you. I hope you're well and having fun. I got to visit a medicine wheel the week after the rendezvous. It was a good hike near the Salt River.
Take care,
George

I work M,T,W this week and then have 6 days off. I was planning on spending a couple of days poking around the Jesse Capen area and then heading over to the rendezvous.

Re: Rating Hiking the Superstitions
Hikearizona.com is the best hiking website that I've seen for Arizona. Joe Bartels has done a great job of putting together a nearly complete list of hikes in the state. Each hike has a double rating for trail finding and difficulty as well as distance and elevation change. I've done a couple of hik...

Re: Geronimo’s Head
Geronimo's Head is on my list of places to visit. I can't tell you much about it. However, I have visited a deep vertical shaft near Boulder trail. It was South of the trail, on the North-West side of a nearby peak. It was easy to pick out the site from the trail. The shaft was not very wide and the...

Re: Jim Hatt - RIP
This morning was cloudy with a cool wind blowing. I made a trip with two others to scatter some of Jim's ashes in the Supes. The winds will finish the job of helping Jim explore every inch of those mountains. We stopped for rootbeers and Pepsi on the way back to the house. I expect he'll be laughing...

I don't know about that pictograph but the Norsemen did visit the Americas about 1000 years ago. http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history-a ... kings.html

Re: JIM HATT
Kurt, Jim asked me on one hike if I'd take his ashes into the mountains when the time came. I just called Doris and will coordinate with her to help him rest in a place he loved.

Re: Edgar Cayce's reading on The Lost Dutchman Mine
I see what you're saying but I tend to agree with "a rock" meaning a rock and not a large, multi-hill formation. For comparison, I might say in the mountains over there there is a mine. That doesn't mean there are multiple mines or a mine that transects the mountains just because I used th...

Re: The Sterling Legend - By Estee Conatser
Well, I just received a copy of The Sterling Legend that I bought through Amazon. It actually shipped from a thrift store in Tucson and including shipping was less than $10. I had held off on buying a different tale because I didn't want to get things confused with Ely. Now I guess I'll wade into th...
