I use http://www.mindat.org to get an idea of the minerals that have been found in different mining districts. They have put a lot of work into the website. They have embedded Google Maps on most of their pages.

Yeah, I don't have cable either. I might just have to wait until it comes out on Hulu of Netfix. Seems like prospecting reality shows are all the rage right now. You can't complain about the price of gold these days if your the one selling it.

I've know miners who are secretive about their mines, the location and how much money they are pulling out of their mines. They will read up and do their homework, but keep quiet when it comes to sharing information. Then I bet there are a lot of novices that come to this site to learn. Prospecting ...
