Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

Thank you for your feedback. I agree that nothing is settled until such time as material is excavated and analyzed. That's why getting it done is my highest priority and why I published; because I agree. What I have is a hypothesis. That said it must be stated in an absolute way and went public to '...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

Hi What I'm attempting to have everyone share is photographic evidence of Mexican miners. I have not specified it is by the Peraltas. In fact I've asked if we know how many Mexican mining teams have been in the Superstitions. I also agree that we don't know the age of many of the mines and in most c...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

My first impression is that this is a Mexican pit mine. There is a hexagonal shaft in it.

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

I thought perhaps I might share some examples of what I think is evidence of Mexican Mining.
I wondered if anyone else has some to share ?
The first is what I mean by a spiked stone claim marker instead of the Anglo type ( example 2) both from the Malapais area.

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

Babymick1 I understand your point regarding how the nature of rock and tools of men are all the same. Its especially influenced by the use of the 'german mining engineers' previously mentioned. Then there is the additional possibility that Anglo mine owners employed Mexican miners who used tradition...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

I agree, I believe there is a whole lot more out there. If you read my article you'll note I did 3 aerial surveys. I've got around 3,000 photos. From these I can say anyone that goes out there and makes a sincere effort will probably discover something new! I will never live long enough to go visit ...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

Dear SgtFDA In regards to the SMHS; they have a non-profit permit and legally they cannot interpret the maps nor render any judgements on the matters. If you doubt my point please contact Barbara at the museum or Greg Davis. We have discussed this a lot. They have no margin for error due to the NFS ...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures

So
Where can I get the crispest, largest image of the Peralta Tesora Map ?
Is it available for direct inspection ( ie like SMHS)?
