Re: Parashant

I was out there last weekend too but didn't see Nissanboy. This was a logistically confusing trip and we had our hands full just keeping our group together, much less trying to meet with anyone else. From Mesquite we went over Limekiln, passed through Brumley and Jacob's wells to Corral Canyon. Up a...

Re: Parashant

...and then we snuck into PNM via AZ 113 and hit up the 1050 through Grand Gulch Canyon with some heavily modified JK wranglers. We made it through relatively unscathed, but that stretch of trail is definitely not for the typical desert cruiser. I'm glad to see you made it up though there. That is ...

Re: Parashant

I have locktited them previously, but I might need to use some stronger formula. I lost 5 of 6 on one side alone! Do you have a lockright in the front of that? If you finally get them to stay tight they will start to break. Some companies make stud kits for front hubs because lockers cause that pro...

Re: Parashant

Tommy, I have a free weekend this weekend. If you want to go to the strip for an overnight either Saturday or Sunday night let me know. I can pack up and roll out pretty quickly, mud or no mud. Or send me a message to mhattendorf@hotmail.com Mark Mark. I made plans to go to the Nationals out by Ran...

Re: Parashant

Tommy, Did you ever get a copy of "Far From Cactus Flat"? I sent an email to your old address, but never heard back. My web provider trips a few spam filters. Hopefully if you answered, it didn't go into my spam trap. Sycamore I got your email. I guess I never responded... I was a bit ove...

Re: Parashant

Pictures can be loaded onto memory sticks as a back up. It's too bad you lost your stuff. Losing those pictures wasn't too big of a deal. We go at least twice a year so I think I have older pictures... Here is a link to a page I started to set up but lost interest in http://adventureontheazstrip.bl...

Re: Parashant

Tommy, where exactly was the picture with the steep sandstone incline taken? I think you mentioned Coral Pink SD, but what trail might it be if you can remember? It's more or less across from Coral Pink sand dunes. The area is called Canaan trails and most of it is off limits. I can't tell you exac...

Re: Parashant

I haven't heard which roads will be closed but there are hundreds of roads out there that really don't go anywhere. Maybe to an old cattle tank or corral. Hopefully the closures will be minimal. I am usually the last guy to say nice things about any kind of law enforcement .The local Rangers around ...

Re: Parashant

The trip was ok. Nothing went terribly wrong, it just wasn't as fun as I had hoped. We had 15 rigs and 28 people. About 3 times too many. A good friend of mine lost an in tank fuel pump in his Blazer but he had a spare so he fixed it. The Blazer and a Sidekick broke motor mounts. We ratchet strapped...
