Re: Protected lands in the US

Something wrong here that restricts the older ones from seeing the back country of our deserts. it's the young ones o...

Will Cars Ever Replace The Family Horse?Posted by MICHAEL SILVERSTEIN, Wall Street Columnist in At TMV. Apr 28th, 2009 Everybody likes alternative energy. How could you not like “live” sources of energy from the sun, the wind, the heat of the earth itself, from running water, more than “dead” energ...

Re: Protected lands in the US
access is not denied only regulated. Because there are so many illegal incursions by motorized recreationists, the lands cannot be said to be protected. When the method of access destroys the very thing that makes the land attractive to visitors (wildlife, scenery, silence, fresh air), it is right t...

Re: Ocotillo Wind Express Energy Project
thanks for the link to the story Brew. Speaking of idealogues, David Horowitz, who publishes Frontpagemag, is one of the world's leading right-wing propagandists. Is this all you could find against wind power? The issue of wind turbines killing birds has been put to rest, yet the idealogues against ...

Re: Roll call!
Hi Rep. I'm still doing my thing trying to raise awareness of noxious impacts to the desert and how to deal with them. Environmental board died from people complaining about the repeated discussions all on the same topic...discussions stopped and board has died..go figure! weather nice and dry here ...

Re: Water in the desert
here's an article that reponds to many of the questions about how vehicles affect water resources in the desert. BLM has high hopes that fence will restore monument river by keeping out OHVs CORDES JUNCTION - Within a year or two, one stretch of the Agua Fria River near Cordes Junction will look dra...

Re: Water in the desert
Do you feel like every time you get involved in an argument, you have got to win? If you know that someone is wrong, and you have a solution, do you feel like, you’ve to argue with them until they embrace your point? You can try, but if the person you’re arguing with is a fool, you will be hitting ...

Re: Water in the desert
Mike, I just read what you post.
For example, your support of the large plate idea is now lukewarm...you state that you would accept large plates on your ATV only if there was giveback at the state level.
If you can't see your own hypocrisy, expect others to point it out to you.
