Re: Dowsing for Ores
When my father had a well drilled it was recommend that a certain individual be hired to witch it as he "had the gift" and was never wrong in over 40 years of witching. He was hired, witched the area, marked the spot and said that they would hit good water within 35'. They drilled 105' and...

Re: Coldest of the Cold Cases solved? - Amelia Earhart
TIGHAR has been at it over 20 years and getting closer with each expedition and I think that is one mystery that will be solved in my lifetime. Would like to think that the LDM also will be found in my lifetime as well. One thing that that has always intrigued me though is, I thought that I have rea...

Re: Coldest of the Cold Cases solved? - Amelia Earhart
I haven't posted in quite awhile but still lurk. I am a member of the TIGHAR Forum and very interested in the Amelia Earhart mystery. In the a nutshell their theory is that they crash landed on the coral reef that encircles the Nikumaroro Island (formerly Gardner Island) in the Republic of Kiribati....

Re: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Anything related to the LDM
JimH Thanx for the correction... I reread the article and it is by Tom but as you suggested the exact quote is " Some historians believe the Bulldog or Mammoth mine was the source of Waltz's bonanza of gold ore"... In future I will reread the article(s) first as much as possible (although ...

Re: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Anything related to the LDM
My story is pretty much ditto that of Lonestars except that I have never been in the Supers. I did fly over them many years ago in a C-130 flown by an Air National Guard Crew. The co-pilot quickly told me of the LDM and then he laughingly told me to keep my eyes out and when I "see" the mi...

Re: Photos Of Gold When Discovered?
Sorry, I know this is an old thread but it really piqued my interest though it did generate a couple questions in my mind. What about white gold? Is that naturally occurring or is it manufactured to be white? How would that be discernable from silver?

ELK IN THE WILD
Although I have been lurking on this site for a very long time, I just recently registered as a user. Very interested in LDM, the Superstitions, and the mysteries surrounding them but know little too nothing about prospecting or treasure hunting so have just been acting the sponge and soaking up all...
