Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures
Robert K - first of all, let me thank you profusely for the well stated responses to some of our questions, comments and thoughts. It's VERY easy on this end of the keyboard to play "Monday morning quarterback" and also to question every little detail, and it would also be easy on your end...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures
Hi Wayne - I wasn't really asking any question, and I had read that part in the summary. It was just a statement that in my opinion being so specific as to give out GPS coordinates wasn't a great idea and it probably was not an easy choice for them to make. I'm still reading the story and trying to ...

Re: Finding the Peralta Treasures
Interesting story, theories and evidence, but I'm struck by something written near the very end... First we’ve noted evidence of people impacting the Superstitions. This is a grave problem as noted by the National Forest Service and we want the Wilderness Act used to preserve the area and its wealth...

Re: Why didn't Waltz file a claim?
I completely agree with your statement that "maybe you found gold afterall." I doubt there's a single "treasure hunter" out there who doesn't look back fondly on at least most of his or her experiences, besides, what's life without chasing a dream??!! Don't rule out the possibili...

Re: Why didn't Waltz file a claim?
Ashton, I'm awfully sorry to hear of your health issues. It was a real pleasure exploring and talking with you last fall for a few days and I'm sorry that we might not have another chance to meet up out there! You make some well thought out arguments for the idea of Waltz simply having a cache or tw...

Re: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Anything related to the LDM
I was always far better in school reading German than speaking or writing it. Sorry it was your last post - I'm sure it raises far more questions than it answers for most people.

Searching for a stone house?? Message from Dr. Thomas Glove
I was asked to post this message from Thomas Glover in regards to a photo of a stone house that appears on p. 18 of "The Lost Dutchman Mine of Jacob Waltz, Part 1: The Golden Dream" Date: Wed, 25 Dec 2013 11:39:34 -0700 From: Thomas Glover (e-mail address removed by me for privacy sake) To...

Re: Amazing Quartz Crystal
Ed, that is indeed fascinating and I would be very surprised to find out that it's not a rarity. I'd say your theories are probably pretty accurate that the "ball" is either hollow, or at least formed from something that has a lower density than water. I'm guessing that is indeed water ins...

Re: "POSSIBLE" LDM CLUES from various sources
Ashton - all I can think of is "Apache Junction" since so many people around there refer to it as AJ. Other than that, I haven't a clue
