Jim:

Here is a photo of the Peter's Mesa Arch, however it is not a very good one. This is an old 35 mm slide that is starting to fail in one corner. I am sure you will find it interesting. Bob and I camped here in 1986.

Thank You for remembering to send it to me Tom. But, but, but...

I thought you were going to email it to me? Now EVERYBODY knows about it!

I will have to keep an eye out for it when I am in the area looking for Jesse. There is an arch (Location) on the Latin Heart you know?

I believe it is called FORNIX in Latin. Very Interesting!

Is this another one of those things where "The pleasure is in the search"? (As in.. I found it, you see if you can?) :? ;)

Thanks for sharing it with the Whole Wide World Amigo!

Yes,thanks Tom.
Kinda makes us ALL feel special.... ;)
That skull is the best that I have ever seen.No need to ignore half of the rocks in the pile to see it,nor lean over and squint. Is there a "skull" mentioned in any of the old tales?
Got a nice shot of a "turtle" or tortoise last time out.
Still need a good one of a "fornix" arch, though.

This is one of my favorites, though.
I call it the face of anguish.
Unique in that is one boulder, and on a trail.

One of several arches that aren't THE Fornix.
I don't think. :(

Speaking of arches there are several in the Sups. One of the finest is on the southeast side of Fraser Mountain and can be viewed from Millsite Canyon. Another interesting Arch is on Palomino Mountain. Some of us call it the "horse's eye" others call it Aylor's Arch. There is also a large natural arch in Fish Creek Canyon. This arch can be spotted from the air. There is another arch on the trail to Roger's Cliff Dwellings about three fourths of the way down the trail from the divide. There is also another fine arch near Pine Creek just north of Klondike Ridge or Mountain. There is also a sizable arch in Rough Canyon and another near Reavis Falls just above the Indian Post Office along Reavis Creek. There are several others, I have seen from the air and horseback, but they slip my mind as to exactly there location anymore. I have more photos of Arches in the wilderness area. There are several small arches throughout the wilderness area.

Some of them are really beautiful works of nature.

Jerry,

I have seen that arch before, but I don't remember where. Some old called it the Elephant's Arch. I can see why in your photo. Great shot and a fantastic looking arch.

Thanks for sharing.
