Travis,

"When someone is said to be “full of hot air,” it means that he or she talks a lot about topics that he or she doesn't really understand."

You have started out by saying the above. While that may very well be true, and I have no doubt that many people would agree with you, I would remind you that it was you who first came to me for advise and help, not the other way around.

This after you had plenty of time to read what I have posted in the forums and
learn about my theories. I would also remind you that you told me you did not even know where Iron Mt. was.

Since you now know more about the Superstitions and all things Dutchman than I do, there is no longer any reason for us to continue conversing. I am not here to denigrate you, and I assume you are not here to denigrate me.

This seem like a good place to end it.

Good luck,

Joe Ribaudo

BM,

I think I can handle whatever these guys care to throw my way. As for you, I believe you're in way over your head in this game. Just hang around the sidelines
and try to look like more than a water boy.....and that's being kind.

It's also in serious doubt you will ever show up at any Rendezvous, "wright"?

Good luck,

Joe

Moderator comment...

I'll unlock this thread tonight before I go to bed - I don't have the time or energy to go through all the posts to delete all the "off topic" comments, so either get back on the topic of the original thread, or I'll just delete the whole thing and someone can try again sometime.

Personally I thought the topic was a useful and potentially interesting one to argue - until it quickly deteriorated - I'm getting tired of feeling like a preschool teacher.

Julia and Reiney from what I can tell were very inexperienced. Reiney definately wasn't paying full attention to Waltz and it's possible Julia wasn't either. Neither of these two had ever been in the Superstions before and so had no real frame of reference in which to correctly understand what Waltz was trying to tell them. So with their limited understanding of the info that Waltz gave them, they got lost and ended up in Hog Canyon by mistake.

As for any of the info that Waltz gave to Dick Holmes, I'd say that was pure disinfo. Most likely, Waltz was trying to get back at Holmes for attempting to follow him when he was making an attempt to go to the mine. So I wouldn't put very much faith in what Holmes had been told.
