Note that up until this point, all the Thomas ads and all the Steinegger ads listed the businesses on Washington Street, opposite the Plaza:

After construction of the City Hall on the Plaza was completed (1888) the ads changed to state "opposite City Hall":

Three articles related to Julia's divorce. She filed in August 1891 and the decree was granted on 6 October 1891. The decree was filed for record on 7 October 1891, which I think explains the difference in dates that Mrs O and I discussed:
