Looks like a great ride. Wish I could have been along!

He might call himself silent, but that whirlybird isn't likely to sneak up on anybody! HAHAHA

Gollum this helicopter we were flying in is quiet. Its trade mark is in the tail. There is no rotor blade making all that slapping noise.
Notice the tail section no tail rotor.

Here is a short video, with audio of what it sounds like without the tail rotor.

I "Photoshopped" ya sh, :D

I have a question about that "Bird" while we are doing Q&A's here. I see something in the first photo, that I did not notice when I took it. What are those two things sticking out the front of the helicopter under the front windows, that look like rifle barrels?

Very cool. I along with others are pretty darn envious. Great pictures of the Supersttitions that most of us will never see from that perspective. Sure beats Google Earth.

Nice.....MD Explorer with FLIR,looks like, and full dual IFR instrumentation?
The tubes at the front are heated pitot tubes, one for each set of flight instruments.
With this baby, you could lift a 3000 pound skid of gold bars per trip. ;) ;) ;)
Might bug you for a tour of the plant next time that I am down..sh. :)

Regards:SH.

SH,

You think too small!

Silent Hunter,

Think you could get your hands on an SH64 Skycrane? I will have a good bit more than a 2.5ton pallet! I figure we could drop in a container and fly it back out full. HAHAHA

I should have noticed the NOTAR. I think one of my favorite videos was the McDonnell Douglas NOTAR. A cabin front porch with the dog sleeping. Then you see the Helo touch down and take back off not waking up the dog. HAHAHA
