Nice find Kurt. :D
The geology evident in your photos looks interesting, and promising.
And the vintage of the metal candle holder should give a possible date range for when it was worked.
The ironwood can be dated as well,of course.
That patch of red dirt behind Cody looks interesting as well.Found a few big patches like that out near a pair of old stone arrastres . I figure that's where they disposed of the grindings.
Like you guys,I like the heat and the solitude it brings.
No snakes to step on ,and none to dog your trail.
Looking forward to more.

Regards:Wayne

Wayne, Very Good! I wondered if anyone would notice that red circle. That was the whole purpose of that photo, and to introduce looney a Great Friend of mine and Fellow Treasure Hunter. Are you in Town Wayne?

Looks like a really interesting find! 60 feet deep shows a good amount of work that went into it - good luck and have fun!

Hopefully Ruth's skull is a good omen in this case :)

Paul,
Dr. Ruth is a insperation to us all......My Father told me when I was young that life is dangerous. Dr. Ruth was not ignorant,he knew that he was coming to a dangerous place where he may never return from....We use Dr Ruth's skull as a token to the level we are willing to go to solve this lost mine, even with our own lives. We prepare for long trips,we carry guns not for killing animals.
