Re: "Born To Run"
He's been found but apparently in a rough enough area that they will have to go back in to extract him. The search would have been shorter if he'd left a route with someone behind. When I'm going somewhere I can't or don't want to describe, I leave a post it note with an arrow marking my destination on a spare map. If I don't come home my wife will give that to SAR to allow them to focus their search. When I do get home, I just remove the post it.
BTW, for people interested in a SPOT. Best buy has them on sale now for $60 with free shipping. They did charge tax which brought it up to $65 which is still a smokin deal. This will supplement my post it note for future hikes.

Re: "Born To Run"
After a major mountain rescue effort, his body was found on March 31 in a remote part of the park, with legs dangling in a stream but with no obvious sign of injury. One of those who found him said he looked peaceful — as if he had stopped for a nap and never woken up. No cause of death has yet been established.
