A man in his 50s has been reported missing after going for a Sunday morning hike in the Superstition Mountains, according to officials.
The man's family went looking for him after he didn't come home Sunday afternoon. They found his car at the First Water Trail Head north of Apache Junction, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Hopefully, you will be offering your services to the Sheriff's Office. Usually, an organized and professional search is the most successful. In that country, they often use civilian volunteers.

Wise words. I hope everyone is paying attention. Having spent a number of years with SAR here in Mohave County, I am familiar with the science of finding people who have become lost in the desert, as well as in town.
The elderly often wander away from their homes, and in the summer it becomes lethal.......quickly.
Since he has not been quickly found presume that he is not on the main trail
I would search up the creek bed
He may have went there in search of shade and water
