Mines in the Superstitions

Post by Willieboy »

Hello Desert USA,
Several years ago there was an article about a group that obtained a permit and excavated a site in the Superstitions.
It was determined to be an old Spanish well as I recall. I have several dozen photos of a place SE of the junction of Peters Canyon
and Tortilla Wash, on Peters Canyon, that appears there was a mine, but no opening or hole. There are etchings in the rock, pick ax
marks and tailings. Is this group, or any of its members still active, and how would one go about getting in contact with a member to
look at these photos?
Thank you

That would be Team Heet the groups name.
Ron Feldman was the one who obtained the permit
He runs the Bluebird gift shop and the OK Correl you
Probably contact him on there website.
