Re: Contact Kurt Painter (silent hunter)
I would say you are correct. The whole area seams to be old corrol beds covered by sand, then new corrol beds coverd by sand, Theres a thin layer of white calcite every few feet in the sand stone. What I think you have are turtle eggs or some sort of eggs, the last pic, one looks like a fossilized turtle. I would suggest not to polish or cut them, leave them the way they are, there worth more that way

That bottom one really does look like a turtle - I think it's likely not, but it's uniquely shaped for sure. Kurt, you'll have to drop by a rock/mineral show one of these days with some and see what they are.

Re: Contact Kurt Painter (silent hunter)
Intersting
some do look organic/ fossilize
the others with the gray knobs
remind me of concretion/septarian nodules
they form much like moquai spoken of earliar
just doing some reading on it
many times these nodules are composed with organic material
a mish mash
septarian rocks can be very cool when cut open
an exteme example
very cool Kurt
we could cut one of them open and findout
your hot on the trail
you'll find geodes and fire agates too ?
