hearts-in-nature-pictures-for-valentines-day

I hope you all enjoy these. It is, after all, the season of hearts!

I went looking for a gravestone for an old treasure hunter that passed away (my daughters ferret).

Hi Guys !
Glad to see the the tread is still alive
Unfortunately many of the photos have dissappered
Photobucket went to hell

so I'll try to post a picture from a different photo hosting site
it may work

Image

Anyway I spotted this rocking heart in graded curb
in front of St Joseph Hospital in Phoenix. I was born in that hospital.

It was Christmas Day 2019 and raining. The graded planed curb caught my eye,
I was looking to see if any agates or jaspers were in concrete mix
and spotted the heart

Find a heart - Find the treasure
ya know

Yes, now she is! I had some trouble getting in. Turns out I was putting in the user name wrong. And I'd lost my password. Went rockhounding in northern Nevada last May! And a trip to Virginia City, NV the summer of 2018. As rock crazy as ever and getting closer to retirement. Stocked up on old treasure hunting books and even more rock lore books. Cheap on Amazon! Now I need to figure out how to make a simpler password I can remember. I keep losing the complicated ones generated by the site.

hey hey hey its so good to see to posting shining!
and your still out rocking
good for you!

I went into desperate slump for a couple years
but I'm back and rocking the heart

posting pictures as gotten more difficult
photo hosting sites such as
Photobucket & Flicker
that were once free
now want a fee
to post to forums

it really messed a lot of folks
because the bums broke the link
to previously posted pictures on sites

anyway I found a photohosting site
that still allows free posting to forums
but it very limited usage

t in celebration of you posting shining
and being that it February
the month of the heart
here one I finished crafting (mostly) Today

Good to see you rockin again Ed! I didn't know February was a heart month. For Valentine's day? But it is also my birthday month, in fact, last Saturday! I went to Virginia City, Nevada in 2018 and my friend and I went to the most awesome rock shop! I got several bulbous white mineral samples but don't know remember what they are! They look like clouds. She and I went to a wedding in Reno so we took a side trip. Such beautiful country! And I have friends in northern Nevada. We went rockhounding at a whole hillside just covered with jasper! It was extraordinary, so colorful! I went camping down there last may and came home with a whole trunkful of rocks. It was a short trip unfortunately, there is a lifetime of rockhounding in that state. One day I must live there. I've been thinking I'd like to go meteorite hunting so I've been reading up on that, so I can recognize them. I have lots of pictures but I have to figure out the best way to post them here.

Yep Nevada really rocks
I’ve seen lots of rock hound associates pictures
Of their collectings

Lots copper based material also
at least the southern part of the state
Chrysocolla, azurite ect…

That cloudy bubbly stuff may be a botryoidal formation?
The grape agate is all the rage right now
Lots on display down in Tuscon.

There is an awesome rock shop in Cave Creek, Az .
Its called Rare Earth Gallery

I went awhile back and was blown away.
Its like a mini compact Tucson Rock and Gem show

Look it up on You Tube
I think you’ll be pleased

and

A belated Happy Birthday !
& Happy Valentines
Yep that why February is heart month
;)

Later...
