No, but i've been hunting ground squirrles in my garden lately!

A good place to look for them is out on the desert pavement of the California and Nevada deserts. Some like poking around dry lake beds too. When you find em, they often have a burnt metallic luster to them and they are heavy. I had one I found but it got lost in somewhere in the passage of time.

Happy hunting!

Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona has one of the finest collection of meteorites in the nation. Dr. Carlton Moore worked hard to help assemble this collection. If you ever happen to be in Tempe drop by the Geology Department and see it. I think that is where it still is located. The last time I viewed it was in 1971. I know the collection is still at ASU; at least I was told that. There are also some nice specimens at Meteor Crater in northern Arizona of I-40 between Flagstaff and Joseph City. You can also see the world famous Meteor Crater (also known as Barringer Crater).

I've been to Barringer. It's a pretty cool site.
