James Edgar Harris "Diamond Jim" is the last surviving Death Valley gold miner who assisted his father, Michael Harris in establishing the Keane Extension, "Diamond Jim Mine", AKA, The King Midas Mine in the Funeral Mountains of Death Valley in the early 1950s.
This is his story celebrated on Jim's 90th birthday September 8, 2020. Jim supplied the vintage photos and narrative. He and his sweetheart, Anna are doing well living on the East Coast of the USA spending his 90th relaxing on the ocean beach.
