I trust you won't be swimming in the San Francisco River anytime soon.

Maybe it will catch you. Remember Steve Irwin. He too thought he was bulletproof.

Sheesh. It's just a 4' gator, not Godzilla!

I've always thought they would be good to have here in the Colorado River. But it may just be a bunch of nonsense Terry, what do you think? Do you know the guy that saw the gator? By the way if you want to catch one -- here's the best way -- go down to the river at night with a big portable light and throw marshmellows in the water, they love them! Used to catch them years ago in the Florida Everglades. Their eyes show up at night like red led lights when you put a light on them.

So it boils down to a 4ft reptile with jaws of steele and the strenght of an ox vs a 6ft reptile with snake tongs.....hmmm......why am I laying odds on the 4ft reptile?

I wouldn't use tongs, I'd use a critter noose. If the total length is 4', then half of that is tail, and that makes it a pretty manageable size in my mind. I just need a volunteer to hold the bait...
Bill, I thought you'd be off to the Orient by now?

Your right Rep it's a small one and should be easy enough for you to handle, remember the marshmellows!
