Question about the DUSA front page

Post by reptilist »

Why is the Ball Python the "Animal of the Month"?

Ball Pythons are not native and are completely off topic. The front page photo evokes the idea that we have no idea what we are talking about.

I'd say that's a pretty good question. Have you tried contacting Jim B (webmaster) to get his input or an explanation?

I'm at work so this is my only access.
Ah, I see a contact link, I'll send him a link to this thread.
Think I'll get an answer?

Yup - I think so. If not, let me know and I'll get ahold of him as well.

Hi

We have expanded our coverage to all of the deserts of the world, our main interest is still the southwest and its deserts. About 15% of the site visitors are from outside of the US, so we are covering more deserts and animals.

I see all the new posts everyday so by posting you are contacting me.

Did you know that you can see just the new posts by clicking on " View active topics" that located just above the first topic on the main page under the left edge of the ad?

Thanks Jim.

I've never known Ball Pythons to be associated with any desert regions.
As authority Baptist Johnson said, the python prefers open forests, grasslands and agricultural areas, preferably with considerable humidity and warm temperatures.
