Shout out to Ken@Wondervalley
Ken, I've got a good opportunity to purchase 7 acres out your way in the valley with a cabin to boot . Only problem is no water or electric ! Water doesn't bother me much, but electric is a must! Nearest utility pole with transformer is less than 1/8 mile away so I'm kind of hoping not much more than 10 grand to bring power in. Was talking with the current owner of the land today, along with a neighbor across the road and he said it cost him around 20-30 grand for the three poles and one transformer to his place. Spacing between the first and third pole can't be much more than 250-300 yards. I stopped by SCE in Yucca valley today on the way home and was told the person I needed to talk to was on Vacation and wouldn't be back for another week. And it would cost 700 dollars for the engineers to come out and give a estate mate ! Hate to let this opportunity pass me but if it's going to cost me 30K or more just for power I may have to let the property go for another day

Just do it yourself. Here's a wiring diagram.
